Can I get a recommendation for a marine tech to help diagnose a problem with a Raymarine AP that neither Raymarine or I can resolve?

I live the raymarine plotter systems, bit never have been able to get the aps to work…I too would be interested in finding someone.
Russ,
Have an S1000. Installed myself and worked fine for a couple of months before it started to become intermittent in connection. Now it will not work at all. I have checked all connections, the cable, etc., switched gps ports, (using Garmin 740 with two ports) and have sent back to RM. They found nothing wrong with it. Reinstalled and same deal. When turning on I get “Searching for Network”. If left alone it will time out and the handset will turn off. If you hit the Pilot button it will reply “No Pilot” and time out. It acts like the handset and ccu are not communicating.
Any ideas of something to try?

I,m assuming you checked the batteries in the remote? They tend to eat them up pretty quick. Also assuming the pilot is working ok on it’s own?. Was never too too thrilled with the RM remotes, the whole time out thing and then the time taken to reaquire network and connect seems to make it too unpredictable, altho for times when fishing or running short handed it can be a lifesaver!.

Remote batteries are good and I have a green light on the ccu. I am with you on the remote. I would rather it be wired to take the wireless link out of the possible problems. On a boat, simpler seems better.

Thanks…appreciate the contact!
On the boat and on the phone with RM support and they said send it back to us…again.
