Not messing with you but... what are you "crimping"?

Split shot for the occasional sheepshead. Braid cutter and pliers are really what I meant. Can crimp split shot with the pliers.

picked up a pair of these a month or two ago, they’re aluminum so they won’t rust

Aluminum pliers wont rust but they also are not as strong. They will bend if pushed too hard. i.e. yanking an 8/0 hook out of a sharks mouth. I just twist them back when I get home.

Or you can go titanium. Stronger, but cost way to much for my taste.

I saw those Adaro pliers when I did a search on Amazon. Might go with those. Thanks fellas.

X2.I’ve had a pair for a couple of years and they haven’t failed me yet. Plus, it looks like you know what you’re doin’ when you got 'em on your waist…

For on board general use pliers I’ve been using a stainless model from Harbor Freight http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=fishing+pliers…$6.99 and they don’t rust…

I bought a the Cabelas brand fishing pliers with the tungsten line cutter for $50. They work great on braid.

I found a pair of stainless steel all in 1 crimper/cutter pliers at the boat landing and looked them up and they sold for 50-80 depending where you got them and says salt water resistant and doesn’t rust. I have to wd40 them every time and have had cheap pliers handle salt water way better.
