Need older Eagle power cable

Hey guys,
Anyone have an old Eagle Ultra 2 or similar depthfinder power cable, or know where I can find one? Mine broke on my old Eagle and I can’t find a replacement. I’m guessing it isn’t made anymore. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I’d hate to scrap it, as I can still watch the spoons working up and down on the bottom with it.
I’ve done a temporary repair to the cable, but the break was very near the plug and probably wont last long.

Check on ebay.

One of the guys I work with gave me two of the cable ends from an old depthfinder of his that was broken. One of these is basically a perfect fit for my old dependable Eagle with about 1’ of wire left on it. All I’ll have to do is splice some more wire onto it and it should be fine until I can find a complete uncut power cable. I’ll keep my old “repaired and ugly” power cable for a spare and hope I don’t ever have to use it in public. It’s pretty ugly, but it does work.

Spoon,
I may have the power cable you need. Can you take a picture?
If I have the right one, I can bring it to the meeting next Tuesday or send it to you if I don’t make it.
Mine is off of a 15 year old $99 Eagle that works great (for depth) but the screen is sun damaged. If it is a match, you can have it for free.

what color is it, I have a bunch in my shop let me know and I will mail it to you!

SCGMC, I don’t have a way to put a picture on the net. If you would give the power cable to Fogman (James) I’m sure he or his Dad will be seeing me soon. If it doesn’t fit I’ll send it back to you with Fogman.

Boatpoor, Where are you located? I’m near Lexington and could possibly bring the power cable with me to your shop for comparison. I believe the old part # was PC-1. I went by an authorized dealer today and they no longer show it in the parts catalog. The 2 conductor power cable is black and the plug is gray. The power cable is made to plug in and then you push and twist a sleeve to lock it on the back of the depthfinder. The power cable plug only has two holes in it with a small alignment slot near one of the holes.

Spoon,
OK. Since I have a description, I’ll check tonight and see if it is the same. If it is, I’ll get it to you one way or the other.

Spoon, you know I’ll help any way I can.

No luck Spoon. I checked last night and mine is a single 4 pin power cable/transducer combo plug for a Supra Pro ID. Hopefully boatpoor can hook you up.

SCGMC, Thank you for checking. I’m not sure if Boatpoor will be able to help or not, maybe so.

In the meantime, I found a two connector plug at Radio Shack that matches the size and spacing of my old plug. I spent less than $12.00 and brought it home today. I had to trim a little off of the sides of the plug so that it will fit into the recessed area, cut off the 110 v plug, attach color coded alligator clips, and mark the back-up plug so that I have the correct polarity. All of this probably took me an hour to complete, but it’s worth it to me, just to fire up this old honey of a depthfinder. I’ll still have to put an in-line fuse in the cord, but that will be easy. This old Eagle has located truckloads of fish for me including the current record SC white bass.
In case anyone else needs to replace an unavailable Eagle or similar power cable try Radio Shack. The salesman took up quite a bit of his time helping me search for something that might work. Luckily for me in this case it does. Do not try this unless you have a good working knowledge of electrical repairs. I’d hate for anyone to blow up a good depthfinder or themself.

Glad you found a solution. I thought for a second today I had found one for you, but it was an old ducer cord-- one I pinged out by trailering from Greenwod with the unit still on:imp:… Took the time today to clean out my utility closets and spread weed and feed. It was too cold and nasty to fish without points or $'s on the line:sunglasses:

That’s better than having the ducer come loose and get cut off by the prop. Been there done that…, many years ago… not a pleasant memory!

It’s never too cold to fish as long as it isn’t too wet, but cold and wet is not a good combination. Been there done that too. Wife says that we tournament fishermen don’t have enough sense to come in out of the rain. I guess she’s right! But we are having “fun” aren’t we. Atleast that’s what I try to keep telling myself on those days.

Hey Fog, One of the guys I work with is fishing a little. He’s in the process of looking for a “family” toonboat. I took him perch fishing a few weeks ago after work and he fished a spoon for the first time. We only caught 17 and he thought we had done really well. I then had to explain that 17 is a pretty bad evening. I’ve mentioned Midlands to him as an option to improve his overall fishing skills. He’s pretty green. If he wants to come to a meeting I will try to come too and introduce him to you. I think it would be a great way for him to learn a lot in a short amount of time. What’s your opinion?

Any time Spoon! We’re happy to see anyone with a passion for fish, and I’d be happy to talk with him. This Tuesday, Billy Durant and Team Shadup and Fish will present on cutbaiting. Should be a nice program.

Spoon, looked thru 3 boxes of old stuff and could not find any cables for the Eagle, Did find 2 old Eagle 480s tho, and 8 rolls of X 15 chart paper, a Garman GPS and a Garman FF I didn’t know I had. Sorry, wish I could help, glad you got it working!

Boatpoor,
Thanks for looking. I think what I have done will keep the old Eagle running for a while. Besides, most of my deeper perch and bass fishing, which is where I use it the most, is probably over until next fall and winter. I only use it sparingly in the summer. I intend to try it out in the next few weeks, just to be sure it’s still working properly. It really has been a great little depthfinder. Thanks again all of you guys for trying to help me.

SM. I remember giving a buddy a box of stuff last summer, Ill call him and see what might be in it! Will PM you with the results.
