Need smart friend?

Boat is next to the house. Now i need a brain to tell me why the Power pole will not go all the way down.Motor works, plenty fluid.Comes up fast goes down half way and quits??? Power pole said something bent.I see nothing???

Took the glass part off and nothing is bent.Seels said they install them with a bracket. The hull is at an angle.Looked ok to me.Pole went down and worked.Something happened that will allow the piston rod to go all the way out but not straight down?? Piston rod is fully extended and not bent.BLOWS my mind??? Will recall PP and see what they say.

I think warranty too. Power pole is a first class company, and I don’t think you can bend one. A friend of mine accidentally deployed his driving down I-75 at 75 mph in Florida and dug a furrow in the asphalt for about 3 miles before somebody flagged him down. Didn’t hurt it, only made it an inch shorter  I’d look at if if I were closer than 100 miles away.

Ordering bracket to mount it to the boat. The xp21 hull is slanted in.This bracket is what Seels uses to mount the PP.Hate to spend $200 plus tax and that is not the problem???

What makes you think it’s the bracket?

Don’t go throwing parts at it! Cash in on the warranty, and if you paid Seel’s to install it, they should be able to help you a bit - perhaps especially if the wrong bracket was used.

Could it be air in the hydraulic line?

I have to ask, how did your friend accidentally deploy his going down the highway at 75mph?
