need to add trailer breaks?

My current boat trailer has no trailer breaks which scares the hell out of me pulling it with my toyota tacoma. I know i need to add some breaks. I was thinking of surge breaks but i need some ideas about cost and what i should get. The trailer is a dual axle float on. Thanks for the help.

Call Corbin’s in North Charleston. They will take care of you.

I would call Wesco in Columbia and ask Jeremy.

what other places in Charleston do trailer breaks? I called corbins they were pretty nice. Just want to get a few quotes before making a choice.

anything less than the Kodiak stainless steel set up is a waste of money, drums last less than one season, tie down engineering brakes last about two seasons, Kodiaks last longer, but its $$$. You can call the trailer shop in Mt P for another estimate, but don’t expect it to be much different(may be higher) than Corbin’s, They’re pretty fair on their prices and do good work
