I lost my freshwater tackle box in walterboro a few weeks ago yall. Anyways I need a fresh start on some stuff. I primarily bass fish but I wanna start crappie panfish and catfishin! What are some basic stuff I need to get so I can go out and get some fish. I’m partial to Zman products for bassing. I used to use all soft plastics but when my buddy uses ratLtraps and other hardbaits he outfishes me! If anybody’s got some suggestions I’m open. Oh and if anybody wants to yak fish in open! Or in the next couple months in a Jon boat I’m open!

both up north and here it seems like you cant go wrong with rooster tails and beetle spins as catch anything lures in freshwater. most of my freshwater hours here are freshwater bushy park and base ponds. those are definately the most common small lures ill toss for crappie, but theres 2 other lures that ive had noteable catches with. 1 is a lure called a little george, which is a teardrop shaped lead head with a spinner blade for a tail and a single treble hook. not much to it but its deadly on bushy park bass, crappie, and pickerel. another thing ive caught big crappie on is something called a reef runner. basically a reef runner is a skinny minnow shaped crank bait that dives up to 25 feet we use up north trolling for walleye in lake erie. dives nice and deep and floats up slow…making it great for keeping it in the strike zone without working it too fast. never seen either little george or the reef runners in local tackle shops but you could easily find them on cabelas, bass pro, google, … catfish just your basic bottom fishing gear will do. hope that helps!
