Net

Forgot to post this last week, but when we were out on 11/22 there was a DNR net strung half way across the big S right by the split with the little s. There were a couple anchor buoys spaced out moving up the big S for maybe a hundred yards or so. I assume it was for a study, but does anyone know what they were checking for?

Probably their annual striped bass population survey.

The nets are called gill nets they are for stripers. . dnr does it every year at this time. they check the lenths of the fish and the do studies with the fish it self and also the poplulation
