spooling up the new 12 wt reel and thought id get a discussion going i havent seen here. backing, what do yall use on sw reels. most of my 6-10wts have either cortland or dacron backing, but for added capacity on the 12, im going with Spectra (per manufacturers recomendation.) Has anyone tried Bionic Braid from Australia? the pink stuff. lots of tarpon guys are fillin up with it now and i believe it even has a little stretch (which id like).

When I was in Iraq I gutted 300ft of 550 cord (para cord) and have that on my nautilis… it’s what I call “Combat Backing” it’s a pain in the rear to gut that much cord but if ya want I’ll help ya and you’ll have 5 strands to play with… Having beer may make it easier/more fun though 
BTW Tomorrow is looking bad unless you might be able to do it in the PM… I gotta run the flight and Austin can’t get of all day but I may be abel to get him cut loose earlier… gimme a call brudda…
