New bait

The boss called work off early for fishing Friday. The plan was to hit the water at 4ish for the incoming. I got off at a little after 2 so i had plenty of time to hit the closet store that had slim swims then my house and get my gear and lunch. Hadderals point west Ashley was the place. I went in asked where the slim swims are and was showed them and the guy working showed me the zman minnows and said the green lantern color was a good one. I pay and go to get in my car and see my keys on the center console next to my phone and wallet. What a fiasco. About 2 hrs of fun. I paired the Minnowz with a 1/16th ounce lucky strike jig head and fished about 3ft or less most cast in rocky oyster bottom with 6lb seagar red label flouro line. I threw the 1 bait from about 530 to 7 and had a lot of short strike tail grabben paints pullers and caught 1 trout, 1 red and missed 2 good hits that i halfway hooked up, probably 20 inch class fish. I got slammed when i wasn’t paying attention but missed with a poor hook set. I felt the Zman stretch and recoil when it popped out the fishes mouth. I knew it never felt a hook so i threw back and it hit it again and i missed it. I threw a third cast in the same area and feel a hit but its more of a bump instead of a yank but i was ready prepared for it. I set the hook ferousicly, it was perfect, a instant hookup guaranteed not to pull the hook. No movement, i caught a rock and broke off, the first 2 hits were fish though. I left because i couldnt take the nats any more.

Looks like you got there after the wind settled down in the afternoon. That Green Lantern color has become one of my favorite go to baits. Nice job.
