Sniper7 is about to be pretty happy I believe! Here’s a new batch of custom offshore poppers (7") and an offshore spook (9"). And a couple lil (3") mullet spooks for the reds and specks on the inshore. All hand turned and designed right at home. Hope ya enjoy them Sniper.
Thanks guys! youre too nice, just something that keeps me at home and outta some bar somewhere in the winter when my fishing is slow. They are all through-wired with 308 gauge steel welding wire, the hooks for the big offshore stuff are 5/0 traebles and 6/0 singles by VMC, for my inshore/striper stuff I like #1 or 1/0 or 2/0 Owner 3x or VMC 2x.
No matter how many variables I have control over, I never expect a bite. I only hope.
the wood, alaskan yellow cedar (which is pretty darn water repellant to start) gets a bath in envirotex epoxy, rattlecan primer, rattle can paintjob, 1 to 2 coats of envirotex epoxy as an overcoat seal on the small stuff, three coats on the large stuff, they are “bowling pin” hard and glassy after they spin on a rotisserie with three coats. The first coat has glitter added for flash. I owe a LOT of my skill to a few NE jetty guys I know, as this stuff is muchly in that tradition.
No matter how many variables I have control over, I never expect a bite. I only hope.
