In that boat, I’m sure you could get a crew to cover the costs of the first trolling trip. You provide the boat, everyone else provide the fuel, ice, bait, etc.
Break that thing in!

^^this. most people around here are more than willing cover gas on trips. A lot of us are either not fortunate enough own a boat or like myself in military can not really own a boat when can leave for overseas and it won’t do me much good there haha. Best of luck learning, it is a fun and never ending process! Also, the gamefish is a quality boat. I fished a 29 gamefish earlier this year and fell in love, or maybe it was the purr of the multiple 300 yamahas…either way nice boat haha.

Thanks for this info. Will probably invest. Gonna try and hold off til I pay my mountain of taxes in April before too many more investments. I’ve already thought about going out for a quick trip Saturday if the seas cooperate. Probably a short trip around the Black Banks staying in less than 100’ for a break in trip and day we can get out and back in short order. @btodag, every trip will be covered by crew. My boat, my tackle, your gas and bait! I ordered some bait to get started (hate relying on Walmart as they are only operation open @ 5am and I live in Lexington, SC) from Bait Masters out of Florida. Shipping was expensive but a buddy local to me swears by them. Got 10lb of squid, cigar Minnows and 10 packs of premium ballyhoo.

Feel free to contact me if you ever need a extra crew member, I don’t have any secret spots or a ton of experience offshore so that may move me to the back of the line, but I am lucky and a positive person who fully understand the value of a fishing trip and have no problem contributing what is needed. I’m pretty much a yes man, and don’t do any drugs or drink alcohol so no worry’s there. I total understand you on the bait, I always try to get the best I can if I don’t catch it myself, Ill eat grocery store seafood but I won’t fish with it.

That’s areal nice ride, wouldn’t wait to long to get that break in time started. That could take a while, and you don’t want to be doing it when the fish are biting. You might not like the prop set up or something else.
Oh no, this boat won’t sit, ever. If it’s not fishing the ocean, it’ll fish the lake. When not fishing, it’ll be on the water enjoying it with the family. With that price tag I can’t afford not to use it.

The break in period is painful. My wife and I bought a new boat this year and the whole time you are wanting to get into the throttle you can’t. We also opted for the outboard pilot we LOVE it. Download the Yamaha app on your smart phone it will give you access to your warranty, break in period instructions and recommended services as well as much more. Congrats on the awesome ride.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.
I’m going to get the first 2 hour break in period done on Friday, Saturday I’m going to be trolling for 4-6 hours. Hours 3-10 is any throttle but not full throttle for more than 5 minutes.
