First time for new boat offshore and 1st saltwater fish to be put on deck. Fished 600-1000ft with constant action all day. Its funny that everyone ask to fish until its time to go. We left with Wappoo at 3:30am with a friend and my eight year old. It was my friends turn to catch his first Mahi. He went at the end of last summer for a billfish hook up but no Mahi. Beautiful ride out and had lines in 600ft by 5:45am. First 3 fish in the first hour. Landed a triple and a couple doubles during the day which made for a lot of fun with our small crew. My eight year old and friend both agreed they were done after we lost a nice fish at the boat around 1:30pm and we were almost out of bait anyway. Total catch for the day was 21 Mahi with several lost at the boat or close. Very grateful for the chance on a new boat with my son and friend. God is amazing with his gifts and creations. Thanks Cracker Larry for the TLD 25 and 30 that worked great. Bottom fishing with the spinners will have to wait.
Congrats on breakin’ in the new sled properly!

Very welcome. You can troll with those spinning rods too. I like them for dolphin.
