Very carefully. HAHA Sorry, never done it but I sure would be nervous cutting a hole that big.

How big of a hole? Large hole, I would use a fine tooth jigsaw. 3" or less a hole saw.

If it is a round hatch I would use a dremel.
Rectagle then you can use a jig saw or a dremel with a cutting wheel on it. Just becareful that the wheel cuts & does not melt it, may have to clean it up with some sand paper.
