For various reasons I am planning to replace the electronics on my 2011 Sea Hunt 27. I have Raymarine. I need to replace chart plotter, fish finder, radar and autopilot. Has anyone done this recently? Brand suggestions? I know who I will use for the work but there are so many options out there and I am mainly looking for the basics and nothing too fancy
Just my 2¢ worth but Based on your “not too fancy” consideration I would probably suggest at least looking at Lowrance Products, I am not sure if they offer an autopilot. Since you are at least familiar with Raymarine replacing with newer models might offer you some advantages on the learning curve side of things,
I purchased a Garmin 1042XSV, chart plotter, fishfinder, and marine radio. The 1042XSV is expandable to add features such as radar, weather radar, etc. this is one of the main reasons I purchased it. This is my 3rd purchase of Garmin products ( for different boats) and I just love it. The on line and talk to a real person support is great. I had problems understanding the features , I’m just older than dirt.
Just love the new system.
