NEW FOR 2026: Inaugural GSSAA Kayak Tournament

Presented by the Grand Strand Saltwater Anglers Association

Join us for our first-ever Catch, Photo, Release (CPR) Flounder Tournament! We are bringing the kayak community together for a day of competition, conservation, and serious fun on the water.

Kayak Prizes & Rankings

Winners are determined by the total length of the catch (Digital Submission).

  • 1st Place: $300.00
  • 2nd Place: $200.00
  • 3rd Place: $100.00

THE BIG BONUS: Any angler in a Kayak is also eligible for the $1,500 Tagged Flounder Contest! Note: Limit of one major kayak prize per angler. In the event of a tie, the earliest submission time wins.

Tournament Rules

  • Format: Digital submission via the Fishing Chaos App.
  • Eligible Catch: Minimum length of 16 inches to qualify for prizes.
  • The Vessel: Human-powered watercraft only (pedal or paddle). Electric motors are permitted (max 3HP thrust).
  • Eligibility: Open to all anglers aged 18 and older.

Registration & Entry Fees

To ensure a smooth event, all entries and payments must be handled digitally. We will not be accepting tournament entry fees at the Captain’s Meeting.

  • Entry Fee: $45.00 (plus incidental app fees).
  • Deadline: You must sign up by Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 12:00 AM.
  • Platform: All registrations and catch logs must be processed through the Fishing Chaos App.
