I wonder if the administrator could make new subject pages…? Who would we talk to about these type things ?
I knocking on wood have not been stranded by my boat. I’m very adventurous but am very much scared of being stranded in the harbor at night.
Thus was thinking … about If it’s possible to make a page specifically for “on the water ASAP help needed” ? To get the word out that you currently need help and what kind of help and where
It is only to be used by people who are currently on the water with emergencies going on and help is needed.
The idea being you can post what’s wrong where you are and if you need help but don’t want to contact 911 or the coast guard yet.
Only a Example; help!! I’m stuck with dead battery at crab bank.!! need jumper cables and a jump. Can I get some help or a tow to Shem creek landing where my car is. Call me for you can make my day! 843 934 0000
Uses: swamped boat, battery, engine troubles, gas, need pliers, spark plug, muscle and any such on the water help needed issues
All ASAP help needed issue could be posted on the specific page or across the top of all Pages or up top on the forums subject page idk…
We could then have a star program to highlight the people who hve helped you learn something new or helped you when you were stranded.
another page might be useful titled “local help needed” where people could go to ask for help or to find other local CF members to help with projects out of the posters knowledge zone.
I.e I’ve currently have been having trouble with my trailer lights and maybe a cf member lives in my neighborhood and could come over and trouble shoot with me. And such. Idk. Just a though for ways we can all help each other or alteast the honorable members could help each other. Pessimist not welcome.

I know on the help with ifishing spots or my trailer light issue is easy to find help on here. Lots of helpful people. On the water issues discussion forum for itself though would be much helpful if you ever get stuck and someone reads on here. They may have a friend on the water or something idk.
Jimmy I was wondering which one you were. So you have a boat that would rescue me if the need ever arises? Haha.
And to anyone else. I live in James island and five minutes from Elliot’s cut. So if you ever get in a I’m stuck here all night situation look me up and give me a call. I like giving favors. It means I can call in one later a whole lot easier. Only thing, I might charge you gas because I’m most always broke and cheap

You should get a membership to towboat or SeaTow. It’s like AAA for the water. If you are stuck they can tow you, bring you gas. Heck if you sink your boat off morris they can recover it, or if you capsize it somehow they can turn it right back over for you.
But you do need to be able to get in touch with them - that means either a phone, radio, or signaling device to call for help, or even get the attention of a nearby boat to have them call for help. I’m assuming if you can post on here then you can call for help!
