New gas tank

I’ve never liked the way my fuel tank was set up in my Lund. It seemed to be in the way. So I made a new one.

I tried it out this morning. Works perfect! (for now:wink:)

Sweet looking tank Bob! That gas gauge will never fail you. Last time I saw one like that was on a 1962 Kabota tractor and it still worked as good as the day it was made.

Thanks.

I had one on the last tank I built. Definitely no guessing!

Bob;
Love that tank,especially the fuel gauge. Did you notice any performance change by redistributing the weight more to the
center? :question:

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

Not really. That’s one of the reasons I had the old tank mounted off to the side. I thought it would balance the boat out more. But no change that I noticed, one way or the other. (My bait tank is a different story though.)

Love the gauge but in my boat I’d be afraid one of my buddys would snatch it with a gaff or jigging spoon! You do great work!!!

Perfect! Beautiful work as always.

You have to go with an in tank gauge though.

Why??

Besides the fact that something could get hung on it. I’ve used them for years on other tanks with no issues.
It’s to late anyway. Tank is powder coated & full of fuel & I’m not going to drain, drill, & refit for another gauge. Plus, they have too many moving parts that can fail.
