New guy here

Hello to all. I’ve been poking around this forum since late last summer. I’m originally out of Beaufort where I mostly ran around the Broad river in a 14’ McKee skiff. Moved here last year from GA and in January I bought a 17’ sea hunt with a 90 two stroke and am looking to have some fun and safe trips out in the water here. Have a wife and a baby so there’s going to be some joy riding between fishing trips.

All that said, I haven’t been out on “my own” boat in some 6+ years until recently. Shout out to Chris V at charleston marine, carb job and fuel issue resolved with no hiccups since. Felt ok about going there after seeing a ton of his posts in this sub forum offering advice to folks. Then there’s the post of “ultimate map of boat ramps and marinas” that someone else posted, this inshore charter on the submerged bridge, story of the 25’ cat that sunk last week. This has been a great place to soak up knowledge of the local water ways. Gail Winds, I pointed out the MAD thing to my coworkers and they’re looking forward to trying to get on board!

I live in Summerville wescott neighborhood and have been putting in in the Ashley. I’m up for meeting some folks and I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled in the swap shop. I can’t wait to get out and do some fishing around Demetry Park! Thanks everybody.
