New Guy needs advice

Hey guys,
Out of town Columbia kayak fisher staying at IOP for the week. Here are my options, please let me know which you recommend:

  1. Go to the IOP Marina and head up Morgan Creek (through Marina)
  2. Put in on the small piece of beach at breach inlet near the resturant and head up one of the 3 creeks that come together
  3. Put in at the really small boat landing on Sulivans (near Raven Dr.) (is this the one that floods at high tide?)
    My main goal is to just catch anything that bites. Assume I’ll be using frozen shrimp/Mullet along with popping corks and fake shrimp (DOA/Gulp)
    What advice can you give me on these options and what would you do? I’m a river/lake guy and just want to have fun on vacation and reel in a few fish!

  1. Put in at Breech and fish those docks on either side until you find them. Take a cast net; you can often catch finger mullet right off that beach. Popping corks with live shrimp/mullet are best, but frozen will work if that’s all you have.

Be careful, lots of boat traffic on nice days up and down those areas.
