It appears that the IFA has heard our pleas, at least the pleas of some, and set new boundary rules for regional tournaments. Now there shouldn’t be any more Florida fish being entered into all the tournaments.
I’m not sure that’s true. The rule change I saw was specific to an off limits area near Port Manatee, FL. I hope you’re right. The IFA needs to make changes for 2014 or they are going to lose a bunch of people.

They made several changes…these are for the kayak division. The Port Manatee bit was for the Pro-Am boat guys…here’s the link to the PDF. I am excited to see the change and I think it will make things more competitive.

It’s certainly a start. I would prefer to see each individual event set boundaries at a 50-75 mile radius from the weigh in location. But, at least we wont have people weighing in Florida trout. I still thing we will see that same group showing up with South Georgia fish
