Hey! You just got a new boat. And now another. I had an Aquaterra Chinook. It was my first Yak, wasn’t as functional a fishing platform as my Manta Ray, but it got me into some shallow water.
I’ve heard that the tandems are a little squirrely with a single person in them. I think if it were me I’d just use it for cruising with the significant other.

that can be a great fishing kayak if you can move the one seat to the center take out the other one[this mite take some skill:imp: . put a cooler behind the seat with pvc(i love pvc pipe) rod holders on the sides of the cooler. there maybe room in the front to put a small live well

So firewalls are preventing me from seeing your pic. (if there is one) I just got my tandem. It is a good fishing boat. Thing that DD told me is do not cut into it till you take it out. Where you think things should go, aren’t. I have been out several times and still not sure. Suggestion should be taken as that, a suggestion. You will be the only one to know what works for you.
If you are in heavy wind you will want to be in the middle. But if you are in creeks or on glass stearing from the back isn’t that hard. Good luck.
why not put the cooler in front? it gives you a bench to work off of for changing tackle, easy access to beverages, a place to mount addition rod holders that are out of the way for paddleing, and in case you catch something you want to keep, you’ve got a place to put it. I just started fishing out of a kayak again, spent my younger years fishing out of a Folbot tandem, I’ve been looking for a kayak simular to the one you just got to rig as I just said. I paddled a sit on top the other day, i liked the stability, but every time I needed something from the storage, I had to turn around( not easy on a sot). Anyone run accross a simular yak for sale cheap, let me know
