I thought this was always a thing already? I try to wear mine pretty regularly, even when it’s not convenient…

I have always worn one when boating alone, not so much when others are in the boat with me. Guess I’ll have to start wearing always. That is if my boat ever sees water again.

Another dumass law ,just like seatbelts,.Next thing you know,everyone will be required to don a big puffy kapok vest when they are within one mile of water.HA
Seatbelts are about the state collecting money, no doubt about it. The lanyard rule is legitimate if you’ve ever seen a runaway boat. I need to get better about using mine properly too; I’m guilty.
