New mapping for SC

Anybody that is getting ready for wahoo season, swordfishing or going deep dropping. This new coverage will help your success. Been using the NEFL version for two years stuff is insane.

You’ll have to speak with The Warden and get her 100% blessing before I spend $700 for a chart card.

Just sneak it in under fuel for looking for new spots. It was a complete game changer for me with my bottom fishing and wahoo fishing. Small investment for coming in with the warden’s favorite grouper or wahoo sushi.

Lucky for me it wont work with Garmin…whew that was close, had the card out and ready to go…

SAFMC you suck!

Wow. I’m going to wait for the 90% off sale…

Yeah, the price tag is steep, but if it can do what I hope it can I may take the plunge. Specifically, will this chip help me find live bottom spots? It seems like so much good fishing goes on from 40- 140 feet, but other than the DNR artificial reefs, good spots seems hard/ impossible for me to find. Do you guys see this chip as opening up good bottom fishing spots for the those to the area?

I use this chip down in the Keys and off the Marquesas. We have far more coverage down here than what they have up off SC right now but it is scary accurate and a definite game changer. And I’m not convinced that’s a good thing. In the Keys everything is a rock/hump/ledge. You really have to work off SC to find your structure. The more they expand this service, the less work you will have to put in to kill fish.

Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.

It does not, what you see on there website is pretty much exactly what the chip shows, just 100X the detail. Mainly for wahoo, swordfish and dropping on the ledge. The good news is they plan to keep adding to it and are currently doing so, when they finish the expanded areas, you can send them the chip and they will upgrade it for like $100.

Been doing this for years with the NOAA moutibeam data. Most of the data off charleston is old and low resolution even when you create your own Ascii grids from the raw data you dont get much resolution.
