Spiders don’t bother me. Spider webs creep me out. I can feel them on me the rest of the day if I get into one.
I have a pair of coveralls a spray sock I put on when I have to crawl under the house I hate it.

Don’t let your flange for your toilet get recessed down into the backer board and the tile. Have seen it Manny times and it’s a pain in the butt. Then you need an oversized wax ring. And it’s hard to get to seal even then.
Thanks for the heads up on the flange! Im new to tile and seriously thinking about doing it myself… been watching videos and reading a lot but im not certain yet. Still have to finish scraping ceilings and then plumb and electrical rough in… so i have a little time to think on it haha
On a scaled 1 to 10 laying tile is about a 3. You can buy all your tools for less than a fourth of what it would cost you to have someone lay it .
Alright, time for an update. Life slows these projects down.
She’s got a 50’ paint job (to stop the surface rust) for now. New motor, brakes, headers, carb, exhaust. Original tranny. Rear end was gone through. Rear suspension is done, but i need to update the front.
Ill leave it looking old on the outside for now. It needs some body work and eventually paint. Know this, it’ll light the tires on fire if you wanted.
It’s street legal, insured and everything, so say hi if you see me around town. Starting on some interior stuff next.
Looking great!! No heat? You might want to upgrade that old fan, and add a shroud behind the radiator, for more efficient cooling.

The Pathfinder was sold to a former owner of CF.com last year. True story.
The old heater was shot. Full of leaves and rust and trash. I bought a cover for the engine bay to block those holes. Eventually it’ll get an AC upgrade, but with the weather cooling soon, it’s not at the top of my priority list.
They do make an 12vdc AC now. It doesn’t cool like the real ones, but it reportedly gets to around 60-65 degrees. I might try that in the truck. It’s like $800 vs $4-5k for the vintage air systems installed.
