HA, Have fun man…I went years back but can’t remember the names or even know if any of the places I went still remain. You should get a fishing guide one day

Peace And Ease

Everyone should believe in something, I believe I’ll go fishing !!!

LeapingMullet is correct…spring for a guide. About 30 minutes from the French Quarter you will be in a real redfish and trout mecca. Fished down there several times when my son was at Tulane and it is hands down “the best place for trout and reds”…no question. First time I went there were 3 of us and we caught over 200 trout. Second time we did 50 or 60 reds and none, I repeat none, were under 25 inches and most well over 30 inches. Always went out of Lafite Harbor (sp). Try Frankie’s and Johnny’s for lunch.

no time for a fishing guide, but the weather was nice and we had a great time the whole weekend. Not many good looking fishing spots along the banks of the mighty Mississippi where the French Quarter is. The Quarter has recovered very well since Katrina, but did see some misc blue tarps in the outer neighborhoods and lots of t-shirts and posters knocking FEMA and W for what they done!
