I swear they redesign these reels every two years or so now and add a new feature or two or redesign a part to get you to buy the latest and greatest, who’s going to run out and buy a Conflict II and get rid of their Conflicts they have now, 2 of which I just bought 6 months ago…?

I don’t know what (if any) improvements they made but, I’m kind of like you, I’ll keep fishing what I have until it breaks. I’m fishing old Symetres, Battles, a Sedona and a couple of Trios. My first new reel in sometime was a Fin Nor Lethal. Been wanting to try one out so my wife bought me one for Christmas.
I also have had corrosion issues with Penns and don’t see myself buying another one anytime soon. My Shimanos and Okumas seem to hold up better.
