Anyone else see the article in the tideline paper about possibly putting a pier/park and yak launch under Cosgrove bridge? Pros vs Cons

A few weeks back they had a couple trucks and a table set up out there. I assume that was the pre-bid meeting. Last week, heavy equipment was staged out there. I am guessing they are working already or about ready to start.
It’s been a long time coming.
I think we need more boat ramps and parking at existing ones everywhere.

It’s on the way, City is building it, it has been in the plans for a while, just needed the funding.

Lots of folks fish off the bank there - I’m sure they’ll enjoy the pier.

Its a bit shallow for a boat ramp over there. Great spot for a pier… people fish there from the banks all the time, this will only make it better for them.
There is top notch fishing all over that area for all the yakers that will put in there or already do. Just a stones throw away from a few different big schools of reds and there are a couple great spots to catch trout on very close to there too. Reading this just flooded my memory with epic past trips in the fall in this area from years ago when i loved floating livebait.
