Parking might be an issue though.
Saw this memorial weekend.
They were loading the boat and had the truck just about all in the water wish I had a better pic.
I’ve launched a john boat there plenty of times in past years.
Since there’s not enough parking, I think that spot should be turned into a bank fisherman’s park. They could build a catwalk under the bridge out to the channel using the existing piers. Traffic could be routed like Wappoo, right in and right out only. Folks could fish and crab in the shade or rain.
I think that the City is planning on doing just that. Turning that area into a park, with fishing piers. But, as all things with the City, who knows when it will actually happen!
Saw the same thing on Mem Day. I thought he was actually stuck. Parking would definately be an issue there and slapping down an asphalt parking lot would have some folks up in arms.
