Are they making any other changes to the Ride 135 for 2015?

Other than that, we’re launching a brand new kayak line, the Thresher. It comes in a 140 and a 155 size. 2 years of development and testing, tons of input from the Pro Staff, and a lot of debating on design calls. It’s one badass big water boat.
Lots of flare in the bow, it gets the console like the Ride X, a front hard cover where you could store a fish bag, and a center hatch that makes it easy to store 8’ rods inside the yak.

Man, that seat is gonna be a hit. I have an old 2011 Ride 135 that’s beat to heck, but there’s nothing wrong with the boat except for the seat. I’m sure that the new seats won’t retrofit into the old boats, but wondering if you have an opinion on the best option for the older Rides? Mine completely ripped at Interstate speeds and I’ve been using a throwable cushion. Not the best option when you’re up and down all day. Thanks for any input other than “buy a new Ride.”

Not a ton you can do for the older “molded pan” in the rides from a lawn chair type design. You could go with a Crack of Dawn seat. I used those for ages and ages. If your butt gets wet it stays wet is the only complaint about a CoD. Get then adjusted and they’re super comfortable…
