That is how to manage a fishery. Make limits that work without shutting it down.

Fish are too valuable to be caught only once.

Yeop. Bout time.

Good

I am already in non-voluntary compliance. It does seem that some people with some common sense gave the subject some serious consideration and plan to enact reasonable limits.

excellent

I like the progress. But I still think 14 is too big. I would have preferred a lower creel like 5 and 20 and lower size limit. Many of us gut and cook the smaller fish whole. I eat more meat on a whole 12 inch sheepshead than most get out of fillets on a 14 inch.

Goldfish you can still get your 12 inch fish for a while. Talked to a dnr officer today and he said the federal guys don’t want to give up yet.It is on the table right now but will probably be a while before it is passed. I know someone that is gonna go nuts about 14 inch length. I just like to go out and try to catch anything so size limit doesn’t matter to me. Getting out on the water is my way of clearing my head and relaxing.

Need to change the limit on gigging flounder…say to 2.

if the flounder limits stay at what they are, its gonna end up being 2 per person.

It’s good to see proaction taken with the sheeps. I’m unsure why flounder (something with a high commercial value) has continued to remain invisible. I guess they just ain’t as pretty as redfish.

At present, I’ll be happy with the regs current regs towards sheeps.

Are sheepshead still in the snapper complex, therefore requiring use of circle hooks?
