This is my new boat. 2015 Carolina Skiff JVX 16, 60 hp four stroke Yamaha. Minn Kota Ipilot.

I am really excited because this is my first boat. But HERES the problem. I picked it up Tuesday after they assembled it. On Wednesday I was told that I have to go out of town on business. So I still haven’t got it wet yet. This is killing me!!!

I am certified break in expert for Yahamha 60 HP. Just leave the keys in it and I will have it broke in when you get back from out of town.

When the first Carolina Skiffs came out, I didn’t like the flat-front design; but these newer ones are almost the same as my (old) 17’ Whaler. I am betting this is going to be a good ride.

Finally got to take the boat this afternoon after work. Breaking the Yamaha in was…well how do I put it…a learning experience at slow speed lol. I loved every second of it. I had the biggest cheesy grin all that way home. I love this boat.

I have Friday and this weekend off and praying for great weather. Will be off to the bait shop to get some minnows.
