New Spinnerbaits!

My latest tackle creations. A friend who lives in S FL asked me to make him some spinnerbaits in a Gold Shiner color, based on a Booyah color.

These are 1/2 oz in the photo with 2 lures, and 1 oz in the other. Both sizes molded on 5/0 Owner hooks, powder painted, and the skirts are hand tied.

You do some nice work!!

Went last spring in the Combahee with some similar spinner baits late afternoon and couldn’t stay away from the mudfish. Big mudfish.

Thanks Fred! I guess Mudfish like to eat too.

I’ve never caught one. I hear they tear up wire baits, but also pull great, so i guess not all bad!

They can do a number on baits and bad about short biting a rubber worm in half. They also can get really tangled in a net. They have some ā€œrazorā€ plates by the gills that get hung and will cut the crap out of you. They also have teeth. Catch one out of running water and they don’t eat bad. Scales are tough, sometimes easier to skin like a catfish.
