Exactly!!!
Will I get enough rain? I don’t know.
Will they get big enough to survive browse pressure? I don’t know.
Is 200 pounds of peas in that small plot enough to get enough of the peas past the browse pressure? I don’t know.
But, I’m gonna plant them anyway. If it fails, it will likely be because of too many deer eating on them too early. But, that will make them find the corn pile sooner as well. I’ll be getting their pictures too on the trail cam. Then, I’ll plant oats later, and the deer can’t kill them things. Either way I will draw more deer and kind of win in the end anyway :).

Talk about getting lucky, the farmer just planted the entire field in beans this week, and it got a couple inches of rain right after as well. Oh boy. My new spot is going to be good this year!! I already have 4 different bucks on the camera from last week, but none of them are worth shooting. I’m sure that will change when those beans get up, and I’m sure there will be some big boys around by the end of Sept looking for love. I think it is gonna be another good season!!! Whooohooo!
