Bought a new convection stove/oven with 2 of the top burners configured for the use of a griddle! The stove top is glass! I’ve never used a griddle on a stove top! Looking at the different types of griddles, I’m at a loss on what to get! There are aluminum, aluminum non stick, steel, cast iron and everything in between! Anyone have any recommendations?
Easy answer here . Easy a good flat , smooth cast iron will hold the heat more even I do believe . You would be ok if you don’t slide it around to keep from scratching the top . Since my wife collects cast iron I would be willing to come to your house and let you try some . Oh one small requirement : you need to live close to the beach and be able to put up me and the wife ( I will have to bring my dachshund too ) and you will need to feed us all for this 3 week time period , oh and one last thing you have to take me out fishing . Oh one other small tidbit to add , wife has old cast iron usually priced in the $175 range and up which is a bargain . What say ya , should I start packing ?
She is giving me the griddle I like the best, right:question:
