New Tackle Shop in Mt P?

Looks like a tackle shop is going into the old Barton & Burwell space in Mt. P. Anyone have any details?

good luck

Jeremy form the old Barton & Burwell is opening a shop. They are supposed to have guns & archery also. At least that is what I heard.

I’ve heard that it’s going to be offshore and hunting only. No inshore stuff.

Saw it today. It’s called Atlantic Fishing and Hunting. Same spot as old B&B. Hope they make it.

Offshore only? Sounds like they would want to broaden and not specalize when taking such a risk? Just my .02 (if it’s even worth that).

Its’ Jeremy Burnham place Atlantic game and tackle is the name. Yes, he only is only selling offshore stuff no inshore fishing. He has a gunsmith on staff and hunting and archery as well upstairs. It opens this week Jeremy is a great guy and knows his stuff and well as his staff. Give his shop a chance buy local!!

Why no inshore stuff?

Every piece of tail you turn down is a piece of tail you didn’t get.

Good luck. Hope it works out.

probably cause you can purchase inshore from Haddrells,Chas.Angler,Wal-Mart,K-Mart,Henris,West marine,Wild Dunes marina.

No inshore tackle? Hate to hear that, good luck.

Is this new business for or against red snapper and/or other offshore fishing closures?

Perhaps the owner could come voice an opinion on Nov. 2 at the Hilton Garden Inn North Charleston at the SAFMC public hearing.

Someone can put the owner in contact with me if he would like to help.

Thanks.

Call me anytime phin 843-367-9202. I’ve been to most of the meetings- including the marriot one last month. I’m definitely against the closures. I try to make most of meetings (I’ve got twin 2 year olds that keep me busy).

We will carry some inshore basic stuff (rods, reels, hooks, lead etc.) just not alot of lures. We have a full time gunsmith with a shop in house and an archery tech with and indoor range, we are carrying alot of hunting clothing, boots, fishing clothing, guns and ammo. The fishing department is more geared like a fishermans center or grandslam alot of bulk and speacialty charter/tournament boat supplies.

I’m not trying to turn anyone away by any means, I needed to make room for the firearms/hunting department and Hadrells carries live bait so they much have it locked up- Mike has been doing it along time and is very very good at it.

The store should soft open this week and a grand opening at the beginning of November- If anyone wants to stop by and see the progress then you are more than welcome to take a look and ask as many questions as you want.

Good to hear that there will finally be a place to get decent hunting gear around here

Liberals are always against America. They’re either traitors or idiots on the matter of America’s self-preservation, the difference is irrelevant.

Good luck to you guys as well!

yea, they have some great hunting gear. all the drake stuff is in just in time for duck season. jeremy’s gunsmith, frank, is top notch. he has done work on at least 20 of mine pieces, from handguns, hunting rifles, and black guns. i have seen some of the stuff they are bringing in on the fishing end and they got the right idea, if walmart sells it, there is no reason to fill their shelves with it. their ideas of bulk items i think are great, buying 50 to 100 of something on the terminal tackle end saves you money in the end. I know they will also be getting their baits from baitmasters which is an added bonus.
