New to fishing in SC

What little fishing I’ve done was to cast and retrieve for stripers and bluefish with eels, lures or surface plugs.
The saltwater fisherman I talk to down here all seem to be bottom fishing.
Are there any fish here that will go after a fast moving lure or surface plug?

Thanks

Rick

Trout, redfish, bluefish, spanish mackerel and ladyfish are a few speices you will find inshore that will readily chase a top-water plug or fast moving lure inshore. I assume you were talking about inshore based on the species you had previously targeted.

AS an EX yankee

There is some of the best fishing on the planet right here in Charleston

Get some really tall boots and enjoy this sight
