My name is Dave and I have a place in Pawleys Island. I live in Maryland full time but I will be transferring to a job in Charleston this spring or summer. I will also be down to SC from time to time until then. If the job thing doesn’t work out I will be retiring for good and moving down full time in August.
I have an '04 Grady White Adventure Walk-around with a 200 Yam 4 stroke which I keep in Georgetown. It is fully equipped with a hardtop, rod holders, etc. I would like to learn to fish the south jetty in Winyah Bay or even venture out into the ocean. I am very experienced in boat handling but I am a novice at fishing. A novice to the point that I have not had a line in the water since my kids were little. I would like to hook up with some locals for fishing and a general good time on the water.
I am a retired police officer so other retired LEOs might want to hook up and tell war stories or other lies about our careers but all others welcome also.
So if you have a mind, PM me and perhaps we can hook up. I’ll be down the week before Easter (first full week in April).
Try posting this in the Georgetown/Grand Strand forum. There are a bunch of local guys in georgetown & pawleys that would probabally take you up on your offer.
I live in Pawleys island and have fished my graddy out out of georgetown doing the reefs and ledges out 20 miles or so.When you
are planning to come down get in touch with me and we can swap locations and maybe go out together.
