just wondering how many people are new to this and if anyone wants to meet up i fish as often as i can and am looking for some decent throw ins ive got a couple of good holes but most i dont know where id like to throw in from normally use boats
Welcome Pat, I’d like to hook up with ya. I know a few places but not many are real secrets. You know any throw-ins on the upper wando? What are you paddling?
i dont really have any good throw ins and like you most of the spots i fish are no real secrets as far as i what i paddle its a sit on 14 ft pelican outback plenty of storage and has 3 rod holders i love it but have only fished a few creeks in west ashley never really caught much in it moved to summerville 3 months ago and havent done any fishing since
Patrick, you got some photos of your yak geared up for fishing? Have you done any mods to it? Do you keep dry through out the day? Your the first person I have heard getting one of the brands from S.A. sorry if I over hwlem you with questions!
havent had to do any mods it has 2rod holders behind me built in for trolling and one swivel rod holder between my legs with one large dry storage compartment in front and a small one just behind me theres a large open area in the back for all my gear ive bought a lot of stuff for it and found a great folding net that can open with one hand and then can tuck away i can take some pics of the boat and show you but all around a great boat have you purcased yours yet
Not yet still shopping. Thinking of renting a couple weekends before I buy. I’d like it if you could shoot me a few pictures and post here or mail them to me. (jchough79@yahoo.com) If not thats cool you said you have not modded it in any way I guess I could drive my lazy arse to sports authority and take a look.Do you have problems staying dry? I read some mixed feelings about this model. A couple of the problems I read was water collecting in the seat; the plastic getting very hot. Have these been an issue for you?
the plastic does get kind of hot sometimes but as far as water collecting i havent had those problems ill try to take some pics this evining and post them or email them
Got the pics thanks!!! Looks pretty nice! Plenty of room for a little bit of everything. I’ll definatly check them out! For that price I could probobly pick up a pair for me and my wife.
Hey patrick, I’ve been in chucktown for about six years and have found a bunch of real good throw ins. I fish mostly out in Mt. P, IOP, and bulls bay area. Haven’t done much fishin lately, but I’m a fireman and have plenty of time off, so I usually head out about 2-3 times a week, mostly weekdays though, stay away from the weekend traffic, weather just hasn’t cooperated with my time off. Shoot me an e-mail whenever you plan on headin out and I’ll show you some spots.
mk what you paddling love to get out there with you some time i mostly go on weekends though because of work but if theres a sunday you want go give me a holler hey cutmullet you been catching anything lately
Hey Patrick, I have an Ocean kayak Drifter and a Malibu Two. I’m still in the process of closing out on my house and I should start hitting the water pretty hard next month. shoot me an e-mail at mkgil@comcast.net if you want some good spots in the meantime. Take care,
Dudes, A few friends and I paddled part of walnut branch/ 4-hole swamp this morning. I found some crap on a overhangin tree that looked like giant cat-****… I think it was a panther dropings:question:
How big was the scat?? Could it have been from a coon? I don’t doubt that there are panthers running around in the swamps of the lowcountry - I reckon be glad you found his s#$% and not him!!
