First post. Went to Murray on Sat. from the Upstate. We kinda putted around the middle of the lake trying to see what the weather was gonna do. I managed to pick up a few throwbacks for my son to handle. Would like to get him (and myself) into some better fish. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The absolute best advice I can give you is to join the Midlands Striper Club … It might be a haul coming from the upstate, but we have regulars who attend meetings and tournaments every month …
Check them out of Facebook and in this forum …
Monthly meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 6:30 - 7:00 at the Flight Deck in Lexington …
If that is not an option, then look back at the past posts in this forum … there is a bunch of good information and reports in this group …
Thanks for the reply Lawcrusher. It would be virtually impossible to get there on time. I have cruising the posts today and you’re right, there is a ton of info. Great forum.
Hartwell is on right now , some in Conneross and up Seneca river going toward Keowee dam in the area of Lawrence bridge . Pulling live bait and even throwing cut bait with your boat beached or anchored close to a point . They are shallow right up next to the bank especially early and late in the day or all day when cloudy . I’m in the upstate also and hope to go this week .

I’m in Easley and fish Hartwell for stripers and crappie. The people on this board are great and I have fished with some of them. There is a forum in the upstate at http://www.striperboard.com/brd/sb/sb.php in case you want to check it out. Good Luck
I’d rather fish than eat.
