I just moved here from Columbia. I live in the Pennisula off of Clements ferry rd. I located from a couple docks that look like they are good fishing spots. The dock headed the back way to daniel island and the main dock on daniel island. Has anyone had luck or know anything about these spots? Or any other close by spots would be appreciated
Are you talking about the docks for Daniel Island Marina in clouter creek area? Where do you launch or keep your boat? That’s basically the area I fish regularly, so anywhere in clouter creek between the marina heading up towards the cooper is worthwhile fishing, catch a lot of trout and flounder along the grassline in front of all of the dredge drainage pipes. The other way towards the harbor has some decent fishing as well there is a few oyster beds - just drive through and see where the other boats are fishing.
Other places in that area, if you go out of clouter creek towards upriver, the creek immediately upriver from cloture (Think it’s called yellow tail?) is productive fishing spot. Just check it if we have had a couple weeks of rain as the salt water line can move down river and then you will catch nothing, but it’s great to swim in as I found out the beginning of this season!
Directly across from clouter/yellow tail is the creek entrance to goose creek - you can fish there, but back up in the creek or I have been told you will get chased away buy the shipyard security. Your also only a few minutes from rounding the bend into the wando and a few 1,000 more great fishing spots.
I don’t know them all but i’m learning and find new spots now every time I go!
