All,
I have just begun to get into the sport of flyfishing in Charleston by purchasing a simple outfit. With limited boat access I have started to explore for wading flats in search of tailing reds. Can anyone recommend a few spots that may bring success to a novice angler? I’m not asking that you give away your best spots…just a few tips to get me started.
Also looking for more fishing partners if anyone is interested in teaching/mentoring.
Thanks!
Better find some quick… tailin season is almost done… There are plenty of good walkable flats around charleston… the question is, do you know the right people in the right neighborhoods There are a few that can be reached from public access… not as good but they are there… Google earth is your friend…

I got to a good spot behind sullivans this evening and saw one large tail but that was all. made a few casts at what seemed to be bigger fish wakes and water movements but not solid shots
