I just picked this up today, $499.00 off of Craigslist. 2014 model, used twice( according to the guy I got it from). Brand new power cable and transducer that’s never seen the water. Did I do ok?

Did good, Academy got it also for $599 and Lowrance has a $100 rebate to bring it down to $499.
I like mine Bob , see if you can find a screen saver . I found 2 notebook size sheets somewhere but can’t remember .
Bob is there any info with the new transducer? According to the box iIt looks like the one that came with it was just 83/200 so it would just have typical sonar. See if the new one says that it does 455/800 as well as 83/200. Either one will work for you, but you will only have DSI if it does both.

Tim & Chip, I’m waiting for the transducer to be shipped. It will be here Tues. If it’s not the 455/800 & 83/200, I’ll go ahead & buy one. I figured that I’m still saving about $40 plus shipping on what I’ve got.
Just a note: I just gave the guy a partial payment. I’ll give him the rest when the transducer & power cable arrive.

I think my ducer is on its last leg. I lost temp on it last yr and now having trouble getting it to read once I have been on plane. I have to shut the unit down or unplug the ducer to get it to read again. Been running my temp off my structure scan ducer.
With all that being said if u get the one thats only 83/200 and want to sell it let me know.

Need a pic looking from the bottom or top. Just Measure how wide/long it is. If its the 83/200 is 1.5"W x 2.5"L. The DSI is wider for sure. Dont remember the measurements but know its wider and may be a little longer.

Bob if you go into the set up menus there is a setting to select what xducer you have. It will come up with a pic of each.
to get to it go to menu–sonar–installation
looks like you have 83/200…on the 83/200 455/800 the cable comes out the front of the xducer

I just measured and it’s 1 1/2" x 2 1/2". West Marine has the 83/200-455/800 in stock. I’ll bring mine in and compare them, and buy as needed.

I’ve got a printer, but it’s kind of awkward bringing 50 some odd pages of legal sized paper on the boat. Plus the ink tends to run when it gets wet. If you’ve got a book I can borrow for a while, I’d appreciate it. What time are you going to the dam? I’ve got to meet the wife for dinner at 5:30. If we can’t hook up tonight, maybe tomorrow.
