It has been my wife’s dream, ever since we got married, to have her own wedding venue. Well as of this week, her dream is coming true. After many years of planning we are finally breaking ground on her dream, The Ole Oak Barn. It is located up here, right outside columbia. Everyone has their dream job, our dream job is to start a family business that allows us to help future bride’s create the wedding of their dreams. To make this dream a reality, we’ve taken a leap of faith and are starting our own wedding and event venue! And what better venue than a barn!!!
So we’re on our way! The Ole Oak Barn will be located on twelve acres in the quaint town of Little Mountain just three and a half miles outside of Chapin town limits. The twelve acres consists of beautiful hardwood stands, rolling hills and pastures tucked away behind a pine tree buffer that will provide future brides with not only a private picturesque place to share their special day but also provides for countless photo opportunities. Our goal is to create a venue that can be custom tailored to each bride’s individual needs. In addition, the venue will be available for a variety of other uses including, family reunions, company parties / picnics, birthday parties, and Christmas parties to name a few. I didnt put in a kitchen. I dont want to deal with DHEC and that would also put us in a whole nother commercial category. too much headache. We have a prep area with sinks and a refrigerator for caterers to prep and setup food.
If I’m posting, its because I’m sitting here at work, dreaming about fishing.
