New yak coming from Wildy

http://www.kayakfishingmagazine.net/gear-guide/90-new-fishing-kayaks/1879-new-offshore-kayak-from-wilderness-systems.html

Hey guys. They finally gave us the green light to start talking about the new boat that’s in product development.

This is being designed from the ground up as a big water boat. What does that mean for us? Something that paddles well, has dry storage, and plenty of volume up front so the bow doesn’t bury when you’re in the slop.

Hit me up with questions. I’ll answer the ones I can. Some details I can talk about, some I can’t… yet.

Tight lines.

Pretty cool. I notice a notch on the underside of the hull right where the foot placement is. Does this mean some kind of propulsion is on the horizon?

And the first question is something I can’t talk about…

Just kidding. We haven’t talked about a drop in at this time. That’s for the Xessories

When is this product expected to hit the market, sometime in 2014, or a ways off?

Pretty cool. Wildy kayaks are top notch.

It’s official unveiling is at the OR this summer and available at retailers in September. We’re still tweaking the design just a touch to improve on the prototypes you see in the pics

I am guessing it’ll be just over the $1K range  whats the stand up stability like?

It’ll be over a grand. I wouldn’t call it a stand up boat. It’s built for big water, so those attributes don’t mix well.

I’ll stand in it from time to time tho

That hatch up front looks like a malibu gator hatch. Actually the whole kayak looks like a malibu to me.
