Just got done with a long weekend up there. Fun place to be during the holidays. Did a lot of the tourist stuff. Clemson had a billboard in Times Square that we got a picture of for a free t-shirt. Probably will never get it though. The 9/11 Memorial was a somber experience. Never knew about the Chapel close to ground zero that was heavily involved in helping the first responders. Ate tons of food all over the city. The Sushi bar under our hotel had some of the best Tuna/Avocado rolls I’ve had. And they were $6. Drinks on the other hand were $12-16. If you ever get a chance to go there during the holidays my only suggestion would be to do it Mon-Thur and be gone by the weekend. Times Square was unbelievable Saturday night. Couldn’t imagine it on NYE.
Letterman was fun but the guest Chris Rock used pretty much the same material he used on Howard Stern earlier in the week. Sting sang one song with the band during a commercial break , then performed something that was related to his broadway show.
Delta is <$150 Roundtrip out of Charleston non stop to LGA right now.
I’ve wanted a better camera for awhile now but am afraid to pull the trigger. Not like tournament redfishing afraid though, just know I will be rough on it.
Let me know if you need some advice on what to get. They also make rugged point and shoot cameras that are pretty awesome too. Maybe the SLR isn’t for you, but there are a ton of options.
That person had to be on a hallucinogenic drug of some sort. Dancing like a maniac and just looking back and forth for tips. Someone said that he was dressed like the angry baby in an old tv show called Ally McBeal.
