Newby here.. please help

Newby here. Actually, this is my first post and first trip to Bulls Bay. My plan is to be at SeeWee outpost to purchase bait binder at 6am Thursday morning when they open, and be on the water before daylight. I would like to use Garris Landing to get to Anderson Creek. My concern is the fact that I have never used the landing, and low tide is at 5am. What should I pay closest attention to besides entrance to Anderson Creek from ICW. Or should I just not try it and head on up North to Buck Hall? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My boat is a Hurricane 201 ■■■■■■■ Fish Deck boat with 4.3 Mercruiser I/O.

Check what the water level is at low tide…if it it’s below .5ft then getting out of Garris at dead low would be sporty…at the least
not kind to your I/O. The initial entry from the ICW to Anderson creek has a specific channel with almost a 90 degree turn. There are old posts
where folks have drawn it on a google earth image. Personally with you rig I think you should go for launching at Garris landing
about 1 1/2 hours before high tide, get out to the bay and set up maybe 1 hour before high tide…set up to throw the net on the outgoing
tide side of the pole, then shrimp the out going tide for 3 1/2 hours…pull them and get back to the landing before the water gets to
low tide. If you make sure you enter and exit the landing a couple hours before or after dead low you’ll have a good safety margin.
Search this list for the maps people have posted.

Thanks for the input Biker. I found the google earth maps you were referring to. Any more suggestions from the experts would be greatly appreciated!

Hey man I would be more than happy to show you were I go by Anderson creek. I plan on going Saturday and you can follow me out and I’ll show you were to set up. We went 6 times and got 5 1/2 coolers. If you don’t mind most mediumwith some large and small mix. I took some friends from work who never caught any and they got 1/2acooler. They would have done better if we went during dead low but we had to get back and watch the Indians and Clemson game

You can text me 440-521-6773… Ben

Thanks so much for the offer Ben! I have to consider my draft going out of Garris near low tide, and I may put in at Buck Hall to be on the safe side. I will text you later in the week, after talking to my brother-in-law. Need to get more details from him about his schedule.

If your boat can handle 2. Ft of water you will be find to start. When shrimp come in with tide it will be plenty deep. Only need to show you three areas during low to get out to Anderson creek. Just let me know
