They are going to be long and cold before fishing season kicks back in.
I have not fished since late October, I am going fishing crazy.

Been longer than that for me.
I did make it to Lake Greenwood Wednesday morning and found the stripers pushing bait around. That was a lot of fun!

What’s still open? We can still get vermillion, seabass, triggers, etc right? It’s a good time of year to bottom fish some chicken rigs.

Why stop fishing?? On top you have Wahoo / Blackfin, and on the bottom you have Cobia, Triggers, B-liners, BSB, Banded Rudderfish, Porgies, Grunts,
.

I am a little leery I going offshore when the water is so cold in case something bad happens and I am forced to get in it. Its not worth the hypothermia risk and I don’t have a raft.

Yes but there is all that cold water in between the beach and stream. I will be happy to hitch a ride with someone else and help pay for fuel.

Good advice. DNR has Vermilion closed but SAFMC has it open…
