It idles good, spark on all 6, compression has come up quite a bit (about 90 on all cylinders). The problem now is that while in gear, wide open throttle, I am only turning about 2000-2500 RPMs. I am thinking it may either be the timing (both power packs are good) or the high speed jet. Other than that I am at a loss and getting frustrated. Any ideas, suggestions, smart remarks? Thanks in advance

check timing then try spraying some fuel into the carbs

as always I greatly appreciate your input. I will check the timing this evening. I would have done it before now but just havent had time to get a timing light and actually take enough time to do it.

u need to check idle timing, but moreimportantly, WOT timing.
take out the spark plugs,
put inneutral at WOT
spin motor over, and check timing.
use some whiteout and mark the flywheel, and it makes it much easier to see the marks
