Fished first thing on Monday in NI. Caught 7 Trout, 4 Flounder (1 keeper), 3 Ladyfish and some skates. Had a constant bite of Trout or Ladyfish for about an hour. The big Trout would rip off in a strong current. All nice and fat Trout that were a bit short except one keeper. Not a bad day and was surprised by the lack of boats. Of course I was out of there before noon.
Sounds like a good day! We fished NI last Wednesday (5/21)and caught 4 reds over the slot except one, and a nice trout. All on the first few hours of incoming tide. Were you drifting/trolling when you caught the flounder?
“Oh, de flounder he looks so fine, hanging onto my little thin line…”

I caught one on a jig while anchored and three drifting a slip float out of a creek mouth with a mud minnow under it.
All Trout and Ladyfish caught with a jig with a Bass Assassin on it.
