Fished North Inlet yesterday in the WIND!!! [:0] Caught a small Trout, Flounder and Red for my inshore slam. Too bad they were all small. Bluefish were tearing up the inlet and we had a blast catching them. Tons of bait everywhere. We were just a little late for the Trout bite in my one spot and only got the one before they were outta there.
I’m sure there were Trout eating alongside the Blues but good luck getting them to bite before the Blue got to your jig.I’m wondering if the Trout hang out under the blues picking up the pieces like the Stripers do up North. We used to get a little heavier jig to get through the Blues and would get the Stripers under the Blues.
